"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin..." Zechariah 4:10.
Wow! March already!?! If I've learned anything over the last few weeks and months, it is that God is passionate about establishing his kingdom on his earth! Quite often when I've read or heard this passage I've always focused on the validation of the "small beginnings" part. But what has grabbed my attention lately is the "...the LORD rejoices to see the work begin" part. No matter how small or big, the most important thing is that we take action upon what God places in our heart and calls our life to become.
I've had a few good ideas in my life, I've also met lots of other people who have many amazing ideas, but the future belongs to those people who are willing to step out in to the unknown, into the wilderness and take a risk for their dreams and their call. It's not easy and there is a reason that it's a "road less travelled", but the short term pain is always worth the long term gain. A wise man once said "Better the pain of discipline, than the pain of regret".
There's no doubt that there is wisdom in waiting for God's ordained timing for things, don't get me wrong! But wherever you are on your journey of dreams, calling and purpose, there is always investments you can make! Whether it be prayer, seeking counsel or saving money - whatever it is, God rejoices when he see's his children take steps towards his purpose.
For us as a Family, as we've stepped out in this new season of ministry, I've decided not to evaluate the fruitfulness of what we've stepped into by how I perceive it's "size"or impressiveness. Size is always subject to what scale you place it on, and no matter how proud I could be of what we've seen unfold so far it is nothing compared to what lies ahead of us! We may not have arrived...but at least we have left!
In saying this, I'd love to share with you some of the things that have been happening over the last month or so. We are so excited to say that we are settling into our new church family "ImpactChurch" in Denmark, we are so grateful for how we have been welcomed, blessed and embraced. Also, I have become a member of the "APONET" apostolic network here in Europe. We are so looking forward to serving the house and also being a blessing to what God is doing through this powerful alliance of ministries.
Since I wrote last time, Lift leaders has traveled and ministered in Frankfurt, Germany, churches in the South Welsh Valleys and also ventured out to connect with church leaders in Macedonia (plus a bonus trip into Greece). I am so encouraged by what God is building in these places, whether it is making room for expansion and renewal in Germany OR pioneering a totally new and free Christian movement in the Balkins, to re-stoking the revival fires in Wales, it is an exciting time to be serving the kingdom - his plans are GREAT!
Some praise and prayer points I'd like to share with you:
- We have lodged my immigration visa application
- Fruitful ministry trips and new doors opening
- Family is getting more and more settled in (We have full time daycare for Mattias)
- Calendar to fill up with the right connections/appointments
- Continued provision of Finances
- Health and Protection for the family
- Fast approval of immigration visa.
